Terms & Conditions
General
- R & S Gymnastic club is suitable for children aged 4 – 18yrs only.
- Children will not be able to take part in any of the activities unless a registration form (this is on the booking system), Membership and Insurance Document has been completed prior to their first session.
- You will be able to watch your child in their recreational lesson on the last day of the full term.
- R & S shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property during sessions.
- Trials are available for recreational classes, the spot will be held for you 48hours after trial. Please book promptly to avoid disappointment.
- Water bottles must be brought to all sessions. Snacks and lunch boxes are only to be brought in for the children training more than two hours in one session. Snacks are not allowed to be eaten in the changing room or in the hall.
Membership and Insurance
- Radcliffe & Sales Legacy members are required to pay an annual fee which is paid when joining and is renewed every year.
- The membership covers the administration that must be carried out to make sure the club runs smoothly and everyone can take part. This includes managing class fees and supporting the daily running of the club. With R&S, you do not have to worry about insurance for your child. We will do all this for you and its included in the membership cost. Please make sure if your address oranythingchanges you will contact Melissa or Charlotte on radcliffesaleslegacy@gmail.com
Perks of becoming a member;
- You will have access to priority bookings on general classes, holiday clubs and camps. You will also be able to get 10% discount on tracksuits, leotards and general merch and on competition fees when inhouse.
Fees and Payments
- Membership fees must be paid in full via bank transfer in advance of your child’s class. R&S reserves the right to exclude your child from class until payment has been received.
- All class payments must be sent via our booking system to secure your child’s place.
- If a gymnst joins part way through the term, fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the remaining weeks.
Refunds, Cancellation, Collection
- R & S are unable to refund or transfer the session if the venues we use are cancelled for circumstances beyond control such as school closure or severe weather.
- Make up classes will be offered if possible but not always guaranteed.
- R & S are not able to refund or transfer the class that is cancelled or missed by the gymnasts.
- R & S are not able to refund or transfer the session if the gymnast needs to leave early or misses a part of the session.
- R & S reserves the right to cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. If this was to happen you would receive a refund for the class.
- R & S reserves the right to cancel sessions due to low booking numbers being received within five day of the start of term and you will be issued a full refund minus booking fee’s.
- The Coaches must be informed at the time of a lesson if a different person is picking the child up.
- Insurance fee is charged on joining (this is included in the membership fee) and is non-refundable.
Attendance and Punctuality
- If a child arrives late and misses the warm-up, they will not be permitted to join the class, as this may increase the risk of injury.
- Late collection beyond 10 minutes will result in additional charges.
- Please ensure your child is dropped off and collected promptly. Children aged 11 and under are not permitted to leave the building without a parent or guardian.
Gym Rules and Safety
- Parents are not permitted in the gym during classes or training sessions unless specifically invited or in the event of an emergency. No unauthorized personnel are allowed in the training area at any time.
- In the interests of safe guarding no spectators are permitted in activities unless agreed by the head coaches.
- While in the main gymnastics training area, all safety measures are managed by staff.
- Parents/guardians are responsible for safety outside the main gymnastics space and in surrounding areas.
- For the safety of every child that attends, mobile phones and iPads are not to be used by participants during their time with us. If your child brings any electrical devices in, they will be held by a coach and will be handed to the parent/guardian at the end of the day.
Coach Guidance and Class Behaviour
- Gymnasts are expected to always demonstrate good positive behaviour. Children who behave inappropriately by physically or mentally abusing another child or coach will have their parents/guardians called and be asked that they are immediately collected. Should this happen R&S will not be liable to offer a full or part refund for time missed.
- Gymnastics requires a high standard of safety and discipline. Coaches may use appropriate verbal instruction and guidance to help prevent accidents and reduce the risk of injury.
- Coaches reserve the right to remove a gymnast from the class if they fail to follow the club’s rules or safety guidelines.
- Junior and Senior Coaches aged 16 and over have completed safeguarding training.
Hair and Clothing
- Hair must be neatly tied back before the start of each class.
- All jewellery must be removed before participating in class.
- Gymnasts should arrive wearing appropriate clothing for gymnastics: Girls should wear either a leotard, crop top, tshirts and leggings or shorts. Boys can wear shorts, tshirts and tracksuit bottoms - no hoodies or onesies to be worn in warmup. Failure to do so could result in the child/children not being able to continue with the session due to safety reasons.
Supervision and Bathrooms
Gymnasts with medical needs must inform their coach. Any medication must be clearly labelled, sealed, and stored in the hall with the coaches.
- If your child has a condition that may require emergency medication or support, please speak with staff before their first class.
- Gymnasts should use the toilet before class. If needed during class, they must notify a coach and go alone.
- Older gymnasts are not unaccompanied unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.
Medical Consent
- In the event of an accident or emergency while your child is in our care, you give consent for necessary emergency treatment to be administered to protect their health.
- This consent remains in effect while your child participates in classes under our supervision.
- All efforts will be made to contact you immediately, but treatment will not be delayed if urgent action is required.
Equality and Welfare
- R &S is committed to maintaining a fully inclusive environment and follows strict anti-discriminatory policies. Every member of the club will be treated with fairness and respect.
- We aim to create a safe, caring, and supportive space for all gymnasts, staff, and families.
- Bullying or discriminatory behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Any incidents will be addressed promptly and appropriately.
